Blue Impulse is the aerobatic demonstration team of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF).
Its official name is the 11th Squadron, which belongs to the 4th Air Wing at Matsushima Base in Miyagi Prefecture.
The main responsibility is public relations activities.
This is a unit that specializes in demonstration flights to let as many people know about the existence of the JASDF.
The design is a "Leader's Benefit Formation" with the 1st aircraft in the lead and the remaining 5 aircraft lined up side by side.
It is often seen at commemorative ceremonies such as the torch arrival ceremony for the Tokyo Olympics.
We designed a flying Blue Impulse using colored smoke from the left: black, red, green, blue, and yellow.
